The Sword of Truth Is Now Published
After a long journey, much like Albert and Charles jouurney, my book The Sword of Truth: An Allegory About Recovering Truth is now on Kindle through Amazon. Writing this book wasn’t quick or easy. Like most worthwhile things, it had its ups and downs. Sometimes the writing flowed and the ideas were clear, but other times I had to rewrite chapters, question if the story was working, and wonder if the themes I wanted to explore were coming through right.
Since I’m self-publishing, I had to do a lot of the editing myself. That was one of the tougher parts. When you read and reread your own work, it can be hard to spot the mistakes right in front of you. But going over the manuscript again and again also helped shape the story better.
The book is a Christian allegory. It follows two travellers, Albert and Charles, as they journey through lands full of deception, distortion, and uncertainty. At the heart of the story is the Sword of Truth — the King’s Word made real and knowable. The sword doesn’t just fight enemies; it exposes lies, reveals what’s hidden, and confronts the human conscience.
That’s the central idea of the story. The biggest conflict isn’t between armies or kingdoms, but between truth and distortion.
Writing this book reminded me of something important about creative work. Progress is rarely smooth. Some days the words come easily, and other days they don’t. But steady effort writing Ten to fifteen minutes a day over time does eventually get you somewhere.
Seeing the book finally published brought a quiet sense of relief. After so many drafts, revisions, and moments of uncertainty, it’s now out there.
I hope readers who enjoy Christian allegory, reflective stories, and themes about truth and conscience might find something meaningful in Albert and Charles’ journey.
For me, this isn’t the end but the start of the next stage. I’m already working on the next story, Love Restored, which will continue exploring many of the same themes.
Thanks to those who have shown interest in my writing and encouraged me along the way.
